Replacement of the "Burgsteges" in Alzenau

Trough Bridge over the Creek Kahl

Description

For the 35-year-old “Burgsteg” in Alzenau a replacement construction was necessary. This takes up the old design of the “Burgsteg” footbridge. Due to the media guidance within the bridge, it was not possible to lift prefabricated bridge sections, so that as far as possible prefabricated individual parts had to be mounted on site and around the existing pipelines. For this purpose, the sheet steel fittings as well as the handrail of the predecessor bridge were edited and pre-assembled in the factory to the new bridge components.
