Timber Bridge in Garmisch
New Construction of a Footbridge Across Partnach River
Description
This design convinces with a special simplicity. The two cladded glulam girders form the guard rail so that a handrail can be renounced. The bracing frames made of galvanised steel are hidden in the cladding which creates a continuous wood surface. The decking made of larch planks adapts this concept. Just the upper zinc sheet metal cover of the glulam beams is visible.
