Covering exchange

The existing covering of longitudinally installed wood planks was no longer safe in the damp conditions and should be replaced. As a substitute, two variants were examined – one version with cast asphalt on a wooden material panel and another with a covering made of large-size natural stone panels. After static and economic investigation, the cast asphalt was the one retain. Due to its closed structure, the cast asphalt now produced a significant improvement in the wood protection concept. In the course of the measure, we carried out a survey of the load bearing structure. The wooden support has no damage due to the constructional wood protection.
