View over Bonn-Oberkassel
Description
Together with the planning office “die3 Landschaftsarchitekten” from Bonn we designed a viewing platform for the upgrading of an existing lookout point. The platform consists of a glulam structure, which is supported on a steel support and protrudes up to the slope edge. The wooden structure is covered on the upper side and protected against weather impact. A simple filling bar with a handrail made of acetylated timber forms the fall protection and provides space for information boards. The coating is made of European larch wood and has a width of approx. 4.00 m at the start and 1.50 m at the end of the platform.
