Description
Main idea of the design was to transfer the traditional building material timber into modern timber / steel structure and to reinterpret timber in an innovative type of construction. Centrepiece of the design is its attractive and nature-oriented form, considering measurements of constructional timber protection to achieve a long life expactency. There the look-out consists of a material mix: refering to the main idea the main structure is designed in timber combined with steel parts for horizontal elements. Round pipes form the compression bars because on round pipes lead off humidity quickly.
Three bended glulam columns form the main structure. They carry the round out triangular viewing plattform at a height of approx. 22,5m The support are mounted to the existing foundations that are planned to be reused. The viewing plattform offers a 360° panoramic view on a area of approx. 32m2. The railing of the plattform relates to a bird’s nest.

Structure
Three bended glulam columns support a round out triangle viewing plattform. Compression bars and diagonal bracing in steel stiffen the structure in horozontal direction.
