Heavy load bridge over Autobahn 7
Truss Bridge in Sneek - NL
Description
The truss bridge in Sneek is one of the first buildings worlwide, where Accoya wood is used asstructural material. The acetylated pine wood needs no further constructional wood protection. The biaxial curved shape of the carriers is a great innovation in engineered timber construction. The form of the bridge reminds of a Gothic arch and refers to the symbol of the city Sneek. The imposing bulding can endure 60 tons gross vehicles.
