The timber-concrete composite construction replaces an embankment that did not allow continuous boat traffic and creates free passage with a clearance profile of 1.5 x 4.0 metres.<br \/>Designed for road traffic of up to 30 tonnes, the bridge combines functionality with harmonious integration into the surroundings. The straight alignment enables a direct connection to existing roads. The block-glued timber girders vary in height: slimmer in the centre, they widen towards the abutments.<br \/>The supporting structure consists of three parallel glulam beams, which are coupled by a reinforced concrete carriageway slab and designed as an integral frame structure. The timber girders are rigidly anchored in the abutments, while the carriageway slab protrudes laterally to protect the girders from driving rain.
