As a pedestrian and cycle bridge, it connects traffic routes and offers space for boat traffic with a clearance profile of 1.5 x 4.0 metres.<\/p><p>Its curved ground plan follows the cycle path axis and adapts harmoniously to the topography. The shape is made possible by block-glued timber girders whose height changes dynamically: from 400 mm at the western abutment, to 1500 mm at the river pier, to 500 mm at the eastern abutment.<\/p><p>The supporting structure is based on a timber-concrete composite system (HBV) with solid glulam beams, connected by cross beams and a reinforced concrete carriageway slab. Lateral steps protect the beams from the weather.
