Under the current plans, construction of an accessible footpath and cycle path bridge using a protected timber construction method in accordance with DIN EN 1995-2 NA is due to begin at the same location in 2025, in order to continue ensuring the connection between the areas of B\u00fcrgerpark Nord.<\/p><p>The new structure was constructed as a two-span bridge with a central support between the carriageways of \u00c4u\u00dfere Kanalstra\u00dfe, with individual spans of the supporting structure measuring 23.50 m each. The superstructure is a double-girder beam bridge in prefabricated timber construction with a width of 4.00 m between the railings. One of the design objectives was to optimise the structure to minimise energy and resource consumption, reduce environmental impact and minimise maintenance requirements. Consequently, the superstructure consists of solid, block-glued timber beams, stepped laterally in cross-section, which taper from the top to the bottom of the structure. In addition to slimming down the appearance of the structure, this ensures structural timber protection. Given the structural conditions, this design represents the most cost-effective solution.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element
