The span of 21.0 m allows an open area to be bridged, while the usable width of 3.0 m provides space for pedestrians and a service vehicle with a permissible total weight of up to 7.5 t.<br \/>The supporting structure consists of a block-bonded glulam spruce beam (GL24h) with an elegantly varying construction height of 95 cm at the abutments and 60 cm in the middle of the span. Targeted and permanent force transfer is ensured by defined fixed and loose bearings.<br \/>The superstructure is equipped with a two-layer mastic asphalt covering on a sealed wood-based panel \u2013 a rear ventilation level and an additional diffusion-open protective film ensure long-term moisture protection for the wooden supporting structure. The connection to the abutments is made via a waterproof, elastoviscous asphalt road transition. A 1.30-metre-high railing consisting of side-mounted steel posts with stainless steel frames and stainless steel mesh infill completes the structure.
