It was therefore completely demolished, with the exception of the load-bearing bearing structures.<br \/>In order to provide residents with a barrier-free and safe crossing over the busy L 3329 road, the town of Schl\u00fcchtern commissioned the construction of a replacement bridge.<br \/>In 2018, an almost identical foot and cycle bridge over the Kinzig river, leading to the sports field, was opened about one kilometre further on.
